Vantage, Clyde Street, Glasgow

This elegant 11-storey tower building saw Treetops reach new heights of design and ingenuity and made a stunning addition to Glasgow’s cityscape. Situated at the foot of the Clyde Bridge, the site offered a fantastic opportunity to create a memorable development in a sought after location.

We rose to the challenge and delivered a development comprising 20 apartments and two penthouses, all with magnificent views over the Clyde. To reflect the excellence of the location, we also made a striking architectural statement that enhances this rejuvenated quarter. This included features like acid etched concrete panels, a terracotta rain screen system and eye catching zinc and copper cladding.

Within a five minute walk of Vantage is some of the UK’s best shopping outside London, as well as Glasgow Film Theatre, the Centre for Contemporary Arts, the Theatre Royal, bars, cinemas and restaurants. However, like most highly desirable locations Vantage came with its own major challenges.

Not only was the site particularly constrained, it was on a main thoroughfare and for us to deliver the vision of architects Jewitt Arshavir and Wilkie took considerable flexibility and painstaking planning and preparation.The finished development was more than worth the effort, earning us admiration from peers and public alike and also winning us a top industry award.
